Sorkin Productions develops issue-oriented films and
videos for nonprofit organizations, academic institutions
and corporate clients. Whether your production requires a
helicopter rental for aerial shots or a creative cost-cutting
approach - like filming in a courtroom to save money on set construction and studio time - our resourcefulness
and imagination can see any project to fruition, whatever
the budget.
From script to screen to distribution, we choose images,
formats and styles that leave audiences with an indelible
impression of the heart of an issue. By quickly acquiring
an understanding of an organization’s mission
and goals, we aim to communicate its message as if
part of the organization itself. From helping Spanish olive oil producers
appeal the European Union’s agriculture policies to educating children about the Bill of Rights,
our attention to detail and thorough comprehension of issues enables us to transform the most complex messages into films and videos that simultaneously entertain and motivate.
Sorkin Productions was founded in 2002 by Roger Sorkin,
who has won numerous awards for writing, directing and
producing. His work has been featured on television,
at film festivals, seminars and conferences, and in classrooms
around the world. Fluent in Spanish, he began his career in
public affairs broadcasting, and has received a Master
of Arts in Communication from Stanford University’s
Documentary Film & Video Program.
